Regenerative Agriculture
We employ regenerative agricultural techniques in all our crop production. This means we minimise soil disturbance, keep soils covered as much as possible, maintain living roots in the soil, maximise crop rotation and intergrate livestock into our rotation. With widespread use of winter and summer cover crops as well as compost applications we have doubled soil carbon in the last 5 years thereby sequestering carbon from the atmosphere into our soils.

EnvironmentalÂ
Schemes
We strongly believe in environmental schemes for UK farms and have given 15% of our farmland over to such schemes. These variously include creating habitats for wetland waders and pollinators, planting hedgerows, restoring ghost ponds and taking field corners out of production to allow the generation of natural habitats.Â
Other Projects
Â
We employ winter storage for summer irrigation, with a farm-wide underground irrigation ring main.
We have dedicated land to solar generation to reduce our COâ‚‚ emissions and we also have enhanced habitats through environmental projects such as pond creation and meadow restoration for wetland waders.
